Teamsters Local 301 Endorse Maria Peterson for Illinois State Representative
Teamsters Local Union 301 is endorsing Maria Peterson for Illinois State Representative. In its endorsement, the Union points out that the incumbent 52nd Illinois House District Representative Martin McLaughlin (R) has a mere 27% labor voting record.
“This endorsement from the men and women of Teamsters Local 301 means a lot to me. As a former attorney with the Department of Labor, I understand the need to fight for the rights of working men and women,” said Peterson. “The fight for the rights of Union members needs to continue in Springfield.”
“As a labor organization that covers work in a large portion of the 52nd district and has many members residing within it, this race is near and dear to us as a local union,” said Michael T. As an elected official, Maria Peterson will make it her priority to represent everyone in the district because the people here deserve someone who truly represents them, who looks more like them, and whose voice is not just another echo of Donald Trump or Ron DeSantis and their politics of hate, fear, and exclusion.
The people in this diverse district — that stretches all the way from Libertyville, Mundelein, Wauconda, Lakemoor, Volo, Hoffman Estates, the Barrington area, and Algonquin — are eager for better representation.
